The Washington County Treasurer’s Office sent out the 2021 Mobile Home Tax bill on April 12, 2021. One-hundred forty tax bills have been sent out, totaling $11,574.78.
The due date for the Mobile Home Taxes is Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Failure to pay the bill will result in a penalty of$25.00 per month, not to exceed $100.00. Unpaid taxes will result in a lien being filed on the property. lfyou are responsible for payment and do not receive a bill, please contact the Treasurer’s Office to obtain a copy of the bill. Failure to receive a tax bill will not relieve you from paying taxes or late penalties.
Covid-19 distancing restrictions are in place in the Treasurer’s office at this time. If you wish to pay your bill in person, please know that the office is limited to one customer at a time, and you will be subject to Covid-19 safety procedures in place (wearing a mask, temperature check, etc.) You are encouraged to use the drop box located outside the south entrance to the Courthouse on East St. Louis Street, or to mail in your payment. When doing either, please include the payment stub at the bottom of the tax bill. Check, cashier’s check, money order or cash are acceptable forms of payment. However, please do not put cash in the mail or in the drop box.
